Motor Cars of Chicago
Dealership Sales Review
Terrible Experience. Their moto should be: “We don’t care because we don’t have to”. I honestly don’t know how they sell anything. I have been collecting cars since the mid 70’s, this has been my worst experience in all of these years. As required. I made an appointment to look at a 20,000-mile 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT. I drove 5 hours to get there, the salesman forgot I was coming, he looked around the showroom and couldn’t find the car. Then he went outside and came back 1/2 hour later. He said that it had a dead battery because he had started it the day before and must have left something on. Really? But yet he didn’t know where the car was a day later? OMG. This car had been sitting outside for a few months. Filthy dirty with leaves under the hood from October. The battery was so dead it wouldn’t hold a charge long enough for a test drive (it was a manual). The car is black, I couldn’t see what the paint condition was like because of the dirt and dust. Their dealer fee is $2,998. Then there are $442 in other fees. Ten hours of driving wasted. They were set on the total price and wouldn’t come down. A few days later they offered to omit the $2,998 dealer fee. I texted the salesman back but never heard back from him for a couple of weeks. I noticed that they had dropped the price $2,000. I called him and we discussed the new asking price with only the documentation fee in addition as before. He was to get back to me with a confirmation. I never heard from him again!!!! I was really interested in this car, but not from this dealership! What a Joke and so disappointing!!!
