Dealership Sales Review
Bought a 2016 MDX a couple of weeks ago. Price of MDX was agreed upon via email. However, sales put $1,595 for 'protection package' and said it was already installed and cannot be removed. When I decided not to buy the vehicle, they brought down the price of the 'protection package'. Once we agreed on the price, I bought the vehicle (paid cash) but had to go back the next day to take the delivery (as I didn't have anyone to drive home my own vehicle). This is when the aggravation/drama goes full throttle. Sales associate (Maz) tells me 2 of the required components of 'Protection Package' were not installed and absolves himself from further conversation by referring me to sales manager - Andrew Tomlinson, who was flat out rude and unwilling to do anything about it (charging for 'protection package' and not including it in its entirety amounts to cheating). His attitude was totally different (much callous) today since I had already bought and paid for the vehicle the previous day and insisted that I should drive home the veg=hicle as-is. After a few minutes of back-and-forth and heartburn, Andrew only softened his stand when I told I will take the matter to the general manager. After having to wait for additional 2 hours, he finally had the service dept put the missing components. Insult to injury was then the fact that Dan Mullcahy backed out of his commitment to give a free remote start.
