We were brought into the dealership based upon an advertised price. $24,900 for a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Larado. Our salesman told us we were entitled to an additional $500 military discount. 3 hours later we had an out the door price of $26,700. We were then sent to the delivery manager who after 1 more hour sold us $1500 of additional warranties. New out the door price $28,200. We were going to put $3000 down and use our own financing. They offered to see if they could get us a better rate. 1 hour with the Finance manager and we had a better rate. When we got ready to sign the final paper work we noticed that the total cost had gone up to $31,500. $3000 down financing $28,500. When we protested the Sales Manager came in and told us that he couldn’t honor the earlier price that our salesman must have misunderstood. 2 more hours of back and forth. They could never get back to the original advertised price weleft without buying a car. There is no doubt in my mind that this is how they operate hoping that you will not check the final pricing after several hours of foot dragging and delays.
