AutoNation Hyundai Mall of Georgia
Dealership Service Review
I have a Hyundai vehicle that I hardly drive because it is subject to extremely intense theft rates. It is well publicized that Hyundai chose to delete the immobilizer from some of their vehicles, when their competitors, had this Anti-Theft immobilizer on all of their vehicles of the same time period. With only 2,000 additional miles on it since the previous oil change. I tried to get it serviced at multiple dealerships, only for them to want to schedule you in the far future. The previous oil change was little more than a year ago. Rick Case, let me drive on in without any of that future scheduling nonsense. For a simple oil change. Had avoided Rick Case for service, except for one time, because I thought they're waiting area was rather cramped, during the covid intensity period. However, it appeared to be a lot more open this time which made me comfortable. I thought it amusing when the service writer, immediately puts a list of extensive and expensive service packages in front of you. When they clearly don't know the history of your vehicle. Everything of value on that list was already done on my vehicle, just at different service dealerships. The area for waiting was nice and clean and not too cramped and crowded. I was pleased with that. And it only took them about 90 minutes or less to complete my oil change. My Sonata has been excellent, even though there's been notices about certain issues and defects. But I intend to replace it with an accord or Camry very soon, because you shouldn't have to watch your vehicle the way you have to watch a child on a playground, hoping that no one will snatch him. The dealership experience at Rick Case, has been good. I use their Mazda dealership to service my Mazda 6, which is the car that is primarily my daily driver vehicle. Rick Case didn't manufacture these Hyundai and Kias without the immobilizer. So I cannot blame them. But won't buy from either brand again.
