Nissan of Athens
Dealership Sales Review
I recently purchased a car from them. Saturday September 1st, 2012. It was used. I understand it was as is, no warranty. I drove from Athens to Atlanta for work, and just before I get to work, my oil pressure light comes on. I take it back first thing Monday morning to ask them to check the oil pressure. They were less than happy to do it, but they "checked" my oil pressure. I dont think that they did, as you have to take the alternator off in order to get to the switch, and they were in there for a grand total of 27 minutes. I timed it. They told me it was fine, and was probably just a faulty oil switch. I drive the car back to work that night, and on my way home, then engine quits accelerating. I take it to my mechanic, and after a day of looking at it, he tells me the oil pressure is near 0. 14 psi at its absolute highest. At this point in time, I have had the car for a grand total of 3 days. Had not even had it for a full 48 hours when it broke down. Called the dealer to ask them if they would have some courtesy for a disabled veteran, and in barely nicer words, I was pretty much told to "Screw Off". As I said, I understand the car was sold as is, but I had not even had it for 48 hours. I was never offered an extended warranty either. This is NOT a good place to buy a used car. New cars might be different, but definitely not a used car.
