Dealership Sales Review
Firstly, I have to say this review is not a reflection on the NEW sales department by any means as my only experience with this company has been with the USED sales/service department. I recently purchased a truck from this company with an AS-IS contract. When I was in the process of the purchase, the salesman and his manager were seemingly very pleasant and helpful. However, the next day that I owned the tuck, it over heated. I called them to see what they could do. After I persuaded them to do "something" to help me as I just bought the truck the DAY BEFORE. I had the truck towed to them so they could inspect it. Their service department claimed it was a "bubble" in the radiator, so they flushed it out and replenished the fluid. Needless to say I was pretty grateful that thye had actually done this in good faith. However, 4 days later, the truck over heated again. I brought it to a shop near my work and was told I needed a new radiator. This is AFTER Plantation Ford's Service department claimed they fixed the truck. $500 later, I now have a new radiator, and HOPEFULLY a sound truck. When I called the Used Sales manager I dealt with to explain my disappointment, he claimed there was nothing they could do...when I said I'd file a report with the Better Business Bureau he said "I already know what they're going to ask; was it AS-IS?" To top this all off, they told me when I purchased the truck that my plates and registration would be included in the price, just to find out 30 days later when I came to pick up the plate and registration...it was another $230 out of my pocket. So, be aware, this company will sell you anything to get you out the door; but don't expect ANY service once you've left the lot!!
