Horrible Service! They use Bait & Switch tactics to sell cars

I bought a vehicle from this dealership a few years ago and had a good experience. I decided to come back to purchase a pre-owned vehicle for my daughter. I dealt with Mohammad, who was [non-permissible content removed] and tried to bait and switch me into buying a car. He told me a price and then had me drive an hour to the dealership only to change the price on me. He also never disclosed the car had a problem. When I went to drive it the check engine light was on. He said it needed a new battery and then wanted me to pay for it! I spoke to the manager Jordan about my horrible experience, and he didn't do anything. I left messages for 2 days to speak with the general manager Kevin Connolly and all he did was duck my calls and never called me back. Horrible service....I will never buy a car from there again.

There is nothing false about my review. This was the honest experience that I had at your dealership. And if your general manager, Kevin Connolly, would have returned my calls then I could have explained it to him. It's interesting to me how he could never call me back and avoided my calls, but you so quickly responded to my reviews. You should really work on your customer service. To clarify the "bait and switch" Mohammad tried to do. When I spoke to him on the phone, I repeated several times that I was not willing to pay a dealer fee. I told him I didn't want to waste my time, nor his, and drive an hour there if he was going to charge that fee. It was crystal clear! He offered me on the phone $23,000 for the vehicle and no dealer fee. I told him I would be willing to come there and if the car was everything it says it is on the listing I would do that. When I got there the car had scratches that he told me were repaired over the phone. When I saw them in person it looked like a 2 year old took white out and painted over them....horrible job! Then when I test-drove the vehicle the engine light came on. When I asked why it was on he said, "It needed a new battery and that they would replace it in the service center." He never disclosed this issue over the phone. When we went to his office he said that he now couldn't do the price he told me over the phone because of the battery issue he couldn't discount it as much. I was in shock that he wanted to charge me for the battery! And he wanted to charge me the dealer fee, which I told him over the phone there was no way I was going to pay. He lied and told me one thing to get me there and then changed the price. He pulled a bait and switch. This was my honest experience and my father-in-law was with me to witness it all. He was in disbelief at what your dealership tried to do to me. Yes, I left you several bad reviews so that other people can read my experience and hopefully avoid having an unpleasant car-buying experience also and learn something from it. Yes, I did also leave a negative review for the GMC store south of you. It's unfortunate that many dealerships try unethical, shady tactics to sell cars. But the great news is that right after I left your dealership I went to Schumacher Buick GMC in West Palm Beach and found the perfect car. They were upfront, and honest, and made my buying experience pleasant and easy which is what it should be. So I would highly recommend anyone looking for a car to go there instead. If you put half the amount of effort into your customers as you did into your response to my review and following all my comments then you would probably have much happier customers.

Nicole, We are sorry we couldn't come to an agreement on the preowned vehicle you were interested in. Being a previously pleased customer, you know what level of care and appreciation we have for our customer's experience. We offered you a discount upfront to try and retain your business but were unable to meet the additional discount requests you had during your visit. We also noticed, prior to visiting us, you left a negative review for the GMC store directly south of us, outlining the same grievances you had with us regarding price and a "bait and switch”. We only discussed one vehicle with you and we were willing to discount it, just not as deeply as you wanted, so I am not sure why you are accusing us of a "bait and switch." We held true to the discount we offered over the phone and when you arrived at our dealership, we did not "switch" you to a different vehicle. Considering the five bad reviews you have left us with false accusations, as well as the reviews you have left with other dealerships, it seems we will be unable to come to a reasonable solution. We apologize again that we were unable to come to a satisfying resolution for you and wish you the best in your car shopping endeavors.
