Dealership Sales Review
I inquired about a used car posting they had on Edmunds.com and their own website. I received a response from Alvaro. Everything was going smoothly. I even asked a family member go out to see the car for us since we live a few hours away and let Alvaro know they were on the way. I was in the process to put in a deposit to reserve the car and planned drive down the next day to complete the purchase when from 1 email to the next, within 10 minutes from each other... suddenly, the car was not on the lot and another deal was in progress. Yet, when my in law's arrived they were shown the vehicle as available but with an increase of $2000 from the online posting, which he advised would happen in 48 hrs if we did not complete the deal. Then, the salesman told them they couldn't sell it for that price they had AGREED to give me because they invested too much in the car. I'm still baffled how within 1 hour that we began the process with them they miraculously were able to sell the car for $2000 over promoted price even though the car had been listed for over 9 days at the cost Alvaro and I had been speaking of over email. So beyond disappointed and disgusted with them. Too bad I would have paid the extra $2000 for the vehicle if they would have been honest with me.
