Dealership Sales Review
Went to see used Audi E-ton at this BMW dealer. They’d had the car long enough to have lowered the price but still knew little about the vehicle including the type of spare tire and that it had an inflator or that there were two charging plugs. Okay, not their brand. We called later the same day to say we’d decided to purchase it. Sales person very pleasant and seemed very efficient saying we could come the next day to get it. We arrived, started a long round of meeting with the original sales person, another person to introduce us to features and then to wait for the finance person despite paying with certified check. In between these ‘meetings’ which took 3 hours, the original sale person said “oh we don’t have the title because it was sent by mistake to the previous owner. We should get that to you with the registration soon.” Had we known this ahead of time, we would have delayed the hour and a half drive and the inconvenience of not yet having a level 2 charger at home and closed the deal when they had the title in hand and we had a charger. One month later we still don’t have the title or registration. One week after purchase I’d not gotten a return call about when the paperwork would come or who was taking care of it. Two weeks later when I called, I was told the previous owner was on vacation, “you’ll have it by 7/10. On 7/10 sales person called, “I’ll overnight it to you with an envelop to return dealer plate. Tuesday I called to be sure whether we needed to be home to receive it. Wednesday it still hadn’t arrived. I called again. Salesperson was out and secretary told me she’d just received the paperwork and I’d receive I’ve everything on 7/13 or 7/14. At one point during this month asked to speak to with the sales manager and he wouldn’t come to the phone, relaying messages through the receptionist. The worst consumer experience I’ve ever had.
