O'Meara Ford
Dealership Service Review
We were very disappointed to learn that our brake rotors were scorched and warped at 29,000 miles. The technician suggested that it was operator abuse as a result of a panic stop or long downhill, mountainous driving. He also assured us that the calipers were not dragging to cause this damage. We are Colorado natives and learned to drive in the mountains using drum brakes and manual transmissions. I put over 100,000 miles on a Chevy one ton truck, towing a fifth wheel all around the country for 9 years. So I know how to drive and use brakes wisely. This Ford was never used to tow anything and the heaviest objects we haul now in the bed are our golf clubs. So it has never seen severe use that should have caused those rotors to scorch and warp. Is it possible that there has been a recall on our 2013 F-150 for any brake problem?
