Great service manager, not so great parts director

onWent to dealer for tire with leak. Determined it required replacement, was ok on determination. Tire was in stock, price seemed high so went on line, found same tire, same part number for $50 less. Parts directed would not match, said retailer with same tire has a different rubber compound therefore he would not match price. Funny how a manufacture sells tires with same part number but with different compounds, I guess that’s the case when it’s 50 less. My bet is written policy on price match doesn’t state this subjectivity. I’ll remember this when I go to buy my fourth Subaru............
