AutoNation Subaru Arapahoe
Dealership Sales Review
I went to Go Subaru East on Arapahoe road to close the deal after I had a reanable internet quote and right car. I was happy to be there only because of their internet department gave a clear and specific quote for the 2010 Outback. I took test driving first. The sale person was very helpful and verified the car specifications for me. We came back to table to start paper work next. The sale person and I verified the quoted price plus the dealer handling fee plus tax. It went o the sale mager. Things turned south when the sale person brought back the paper with additional purchase items and price list. Not only the sale manager ignored the earlier quote completely by adding $1500 on top of quoted price, also he added new items like "perma plate" and "windshield insurance" which I had no idea what they were. I let the sale person know that the new items were not needed and I did not know what they were for. The sale person agreed to talk to the manager removing the strange items and had the quoted price as we had agreed earlier. The sale person went and came back quickly. This time, one item "widshield insurance" was removed from the purchase list, but keeping about $1000 above the quote price and the "perma plate" item in the list. As I was discussing item "perma plate" and the price, the manger walked in and told me the price is final, and I should take it or no deal. I left wthout deal. I knew it was hard to negotiate car price and I followed advice writing down info. but I totally did not prepared for seeing such unprofession sale manager! P.S. The sale manager tried to sell finiance interest much higher than the Subaru's published ineterest rate. So be careful when you going to this dealship for all the traps waiting for you to fall in!
