AutoNation INFINITI Tustin
Dealership Sales Review
I purchased a car at Autonation in Tustin in December 2023. The salesperson, Mark, was a very nice guy, and very helpful. Just before the end of the purchase process, I had to meet with their "finance guy" or possibly a manager who did the paperwork. He asked me if I wanted a $1,900 maintenance policy, and I said no. He kept asking over and over, and finally I said yes. Then, within a couple of minutes, I told him that I changed my mind and did NOT want the policy. He told me it was too late to cancel it, even though we had just filled out the agreement. He said I'd have to wait until I paid my first monthly payment, and then I could cancel it. So, in strict accordance with the policy provisions, I sent a letter of cancellation to both the AutoNation, and the insurance company. Then I hear from the insurance company that they can only reimburse the "lienholder," and not me. In other words, they are making it very difficult for me to cancel the policy. This manager was a high-pressure salesman, and I could never recommend anywhere where someone like him had any control over the process.
