Envision Honda of Milpitas

I was looking at a used car, that had a lot of scratches. I took it to my mechanic, who discovered that the lower engine cover, on the bottom of the car was missing. Otherwise, the car was great, and I should buy it. I was going to pass on the car, but the sale team was quite pushy. They promised to fix the scratches and replace the engine cover. I signed a contract and put down a deposit. They then proceeded to give me the run around for several days, telling me that the car was going to take longer to fix up than previously specified. Eventually they reneged on the agreement, and gave me a bogus reason. They said there were other things found wrong with the car, and it was being sent back to auction. He said something about dealership mechanics being able to find things with "special tools" that other mechanics wouldn't have access to. The car is still available for sale, of course. Overall, very frustrating experience with being lied to.
