Horrible Place! Ok, up front we all know that nobody likes to deal with car sales people because they are just trying to rip you as bad as they can. When I purchase a new car, I decide what i want and do my homework. I had a car that i wanted and the price that I was willing to pay for it, so it should make it really easy for the dealers that I call ... can you sell me this car at this price? Yes or No? I made it VERY CLEAR on the phone that this was not negotiable, no hassle offer and agreement. Well, I called this place and spoke with Maximo ... who after speaking with his manager ASSURED me that they would do it and I agreed that I would be there within an hour. Well, my family and I showed up only to be put through the ringer ... so they thought! They tried their best to butter us up and then came the paperwork ... with a price WAY higher than what Maximo agreed with me on earlier. Maximo was smart though, he had passed us off to another salesman (Mike) who tried to rip us ... but when this happened I calmly walked over to the other table where Maximo was trying to ring out another poor family I'm sure and asked if I could talk to him. Maximo then came over and tried to pass it off on his manager, "my manager didn't understand correctly that you wanted the Hybrid!" At which point I caught him in a bold faced lie, because on the phone earlier I couldn't think of the word "Hybrid" for a couple of seconds (brain fart) and he jumped in and helped me say it! When I reminded him of his short memory and lies ... he just had that deer in the headlights look! I asked them if they were going to honor the deal that they had made with me on the phone and they told me they couldn't ... so we drove up the road to Mossy Toyota which proudly and professionally gave us the deal ... no questions or haggling needed! We have been a Toyota family and always will be and these guys at Lemon Grove Toyota are a disgrace!
