AutoNation Toyota Irvine
Dealership Service Review
This sucks to write, I’ve had such great experiences with Autonation Irvine since 2003. But this last experience was the worst. I brought my car in for a normal VCP service. I was the first car in, #1 and was told my by service advisor the car would be ready by 8:30. I did not get the first video until 9:40 describing recommended service. This was the first missed deadline of the day. I called and said I just needed the oil change for now since I had to get to work. He said it would be done in 30 mins and the car would be ready. I didn’t get a completed email until another hour and a half later, second missed deadline. In total, the job took 2.5 hours longer than promised. When I finally picked up the car and was ready to head out the tire pressure light was still on. I had told my advisor to fill all tires during drop off. He said the technician did, and I just could not believe the sensor was bad as I just had them changed 11 months ago. The car was returned and I was told the TPMS was damaged. This was obviously a lazy excuse. I asked my advisor if the tech filled the spare, a typical solution to a low pressure light after filling all other tires. My advisor talked to the tech and the tech said my spare does not have a sensor. I told my advisor to fill the spare anyways. Guess what happened? The light went away. This led me down another tunnel, how could a trust any work that had been done to my car? How can I trust any of the service recommendations if I can troubleshoot better than the advisor and the tech? This by far is the worst experience I’ve had at AutoNation Irvine. I just purchased another VCP and would like to request a refund for the remaining services. Please advise how this can be done.
