Disturbing Experience

We experienced the worse treatment we've ever encountered by any dealership at this location on 05/15/2016 at about 5:00pm. After having visited a different Chevrolet dealership, we called and spoke to "Chevy Evy." We told him the price point we were looking for, the vehicle and trim type, credit status, etc. He guaranteed, before us making the trek out there, that they for sure had multiples of the model and of the trim we were looking for. Also that they would definitely be able to do pricing we asked for, to come in and get it. Upon arriving we were shown a large selection and chose to lease it in either white or grey by Moses. After heading into the dealership, we were told that none of those were for sale actually. They only had one for sale in the make and trim we went there for but in green. However, they could have a white or grey one sent over from an undisclosed location which we agreed to. Then what ensued was totally bewildering. A sales manager named Lorenzo came over to tell us that they can't actually give us that pricing either. What was confusing was his demeanor, he was so hostile and unprofessional when it was completely uncalled for. We had never met this man before and wasn't sure why he was so agitated. We asked to speak to "Chevy Evy" as that's who told us otherwise which furthered angered Lorenzo. We were asked what deal the other dealership offered us and when my spouse tried to respond he was cut off multiple times with Lorenzo shouting. We stated that we would like gap insurance with the lease. Lorenzo was the yelling, with "Chevy Evy" and Moses quietly standing there letting this man berate on us. Lorenzo yelled, "You don't need Gap insurance!! No one uses that!" My spouse again tried saying that no we do want that because we've had to use it twice in the past when cars were totaled. Which Lorenzo followed with, "YOU don't know what you're talking about!!" At that point we stood up and said we were leaving. He aggressively jumped up and towards my spouse, like he was physically going to do something while flinging his hands and arms around. We left, I was concerned for our safety. There were no apologies for falsely guaranteeing what they had and their pricing or for allowing their employee to verbally attack us and nearly physically attack us. I wonder how many customers they lose daily because of this scary behavior. When the situation happened, the manager stood quietly by like this wasn't abnormal or unusual. Perhaps this is their way to bully people into sales but it's a tactic that quite literally scared us off. I am also concerned that they have our personal information. We ended up going to Chevrolet of Montebello who were confused why Rotolo had such a problem with the pricing. They were also knowledgeable on the make of car and incentives Chevrolet is offering along with rebates. ALL the staff were friendly and efficient. We left with the car we had sought out for and pricing only $1 off from what we had asked for. Good thing we decided to give Chevrolet one last chance. Save yourself the headache- go to Montebello.
