Lexus Carlsbad
Dealership Sales Review
I had done my homework and got internet bids for the equipment I wanted on the car. I wasn't fussy about the color so I picked a silver one on the lot. They beat my best other offer resulting in an OTD price of $47k . They threw in an '08 update for the Nav CD when it's available. I paid cash - no trade, and declined all the last minute add ons solicitations during the documentation of the purchase. I'll probably look for a competitive bid for an extended warranty soon. The warranty paid off for my last car, an '01 Mercedes E-320. The salesman was not pushy, respected my intelligence (no BS), showed me all the equipment and delivered the car to my home, about a 30 minute ride. The total time from start to completion of the docs was about 90 minutes. The car really sells itself so there wasn't much for the salesman to do. The showroom and service dept is clean and very upscale. We have another Lexus, an '04 RX330, so I'm familiar with their service which I can recommend, albeit, expensive. They provide free loaners, a sloppy car wash and coffee while you wait. I get oil changes, non warranty work and minor non-complex repairs done by an independent mechanic. In summary, they act professionally, treat you with respect and are competent. However, I recommend you come in well prepared to negotiate.
