Dealership Sales Review
At my age I have bought a lot of vehicles, new and used. In the vast majority of cases, I have been treated as a sheep to be fleeced. I have had my share of four-square closes, T.O. men, and hard-ball sales managers. Then, even when I've bought the vehicle, the finance man has tried to shove add-ons down my throat. None of this happened at the AutoNation Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Fiat dealership in Carlsbad. After speaking to a salesperson, Antonio, over the phone, I made an appointment to see the Wrangler I was interested in. Antonio was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. After looking at the Jeep I had seen online, I realized it wasn't a good fit for me. Antonio took my wife and me to a secondary storage lot where their overflow inventory sat. There we found the perfect vehicle for me. I decided to lease it. After some minor negotiation, Antonio wrote the deal up while my wife and I went to lunch. When we came back, the car had been cleaned and prepped for delivery. The finance man, Trevor, offered the add-ons but did it without pressure. I chose one. Before I left, the sales manager, Rick, came out to shake my hand and offered me his card, telling me that if I ever needed anything, not to hesitate giving him a call. This is how it is supposed to be. I am a fan.
