Jim Click Nissan

This is the first brand new car I've purchased in 16 years! I usually buy 1-2 year old cars from private parties for 2 main reasons... 1) I don't like paying sales tax, and 2) I don't like new car dealerships. Sorry, but for me, the experience of being at a dealership and playing the pseudo-psychological scripted negotiating game is at the top of my list for toxic ways to completely waste 5 hours of an otherwise completely fine day. So when I decided to purchase a new car (and yes, pay the sales tax), I was ONLY going to do it if I was able to come to an agreed-to fair price over the phone, prior to arriving at the dealership, and simply spend my time at the dealership signing papers. That was my goal. And that's what happened :) Edmunds Price Promise started the process, giving me a reasonable (not quite there) price online for the vehicle I wanted, but VANESSA PAIN, Internet Sales Specialist at Jim Click Nissan really made the rest happen. She was easy to talk to, very responsive, and within a few minutes we agreed on a final sales price over the phone. She verified that the exact car I wanted was on the lot, ran my credit rating for my finance rate over the phone, and sent me an email summarizing what we agreed to. I told her I would be in that evening to pick up the car, and she got her team started on the paperwork so everything would be ready when I got there. Of course, I was a bit skeptical even then, thinking that somewhere along the way I would be thrown the stereotypical dealership curveball, either with some numbers I hadn't seen, or options I didn't want, etc. But it never happened. I walked in, met with Venessa, and went through the overview of the deal which was exactly what we agreed to on the phone. Within 45 minutes I was driving away in my new Altima with her beautiful smile in my rear view mirror. So give Edmunds a try, and make sure you work with Venessa. My purchase was terrific because of her. I might buy more new cars now :)
