Cash buyers beware

Paid cash and they required personal info. They said they wouldn't run a credit check but just got my credit report and sure enough, they did a hard inquiry. They totally lied. Don't give them info and don't trust them. I regret giving them my business.

VL, we request personal information on all files. We have experienced many instances of identity theft when customer's use a financial instrument such as a a check of draft in lieu of actual cash. There is a difference between an actual cash transaction where a customer brings in currency and when a customer uses a check. Also, in order for us to run a credit inquiry customers must sign a credit application giving us permission to access the credit file. Matt W. - CR Mgr. - Right Toyota
