Lease with not too much specifics provide to use a lease calculator
Written by 03/09/2024
onI was interested in leasing a 2024 Honda Passport Trailsport trim.
I went to car.com and initially a spotted a couple of prospects.
I reached out to Autonation Honda via email and asked for a sales
manager. Abel Valencia reached out to me and we started getting to
the details.
He originally sent me a sales sheet with MSRP, discount, taxes, doc fees and monthly payments based on money down for a 36 month lease.
No need to say that the monthly estimates were much higher compared to
an offer I was getting from another dealership here in Phoenix.
I asked him repeatedly (>=2) to send me specific input/parameters/numbers to plug in my lease calculator at https://leasehackr.com, such as depreciation amount, money factor, etc.
The guy kept sending me monthly estimates and ignoring my requested specific numbers. I gave Abel a fair warning, failing to send those numbers I will write
a review based on my interaction with him, there was no reply.
My advice to you if you do not want to get suckered in an unfair
bad deal and a lease with high monthly payments do not even bother.
By the way I have leased previously 2 Honda CRV cars from them.
I think the first lease was fair
but the second one I am still paying it for year since I got the car in 2018

Dear Sandy, please do not say something you do not mean and cannot do.
I have reached out to your dealership through your website and asked for the owner
There was no response and I saved the transcripts of the interaction.
Also tell your manager whoever he is, that I also placed a complaint at the FTC.
