Expensive shop - pushes the envelope of recommneded work

onThe quality of work at this dealer could not be better. Polite, professional service staff, we like the people.
We find they push the enevelope on repair recommenendations. For example telling us the speark plugs "tested bad" but withdrew recommendation when I told them the plugs only had 36,000 mi. and 3 years on them. Recommended replacing lower ball fron ball joints, but when asked they admitted the tolerances were within Mercedes specs. We generally decline several recommended repaiers each time we take our 2002 ML500 in for service. If I could find a different qualified shop for Mercedes I would switch.
