onI purchased a new Toyota from High Country and discovered within a couple of weeks that both a door and a quarter panel had been re-painted (verified by body shop).
Their sales paperwork includes language which leaves the buyer with absolutely no legal recourse, not even on a new car purchase.
I complained to every regulatory body available, to no avail.
I complained multiple times to Toyota Motor Co.
Each of those complaints resulted in Toyota's calling it a "sales issue" and referring me back to High Country.
I demanded that High Country either refund my money or pay for a new factory-quality paint job.
High Country's response was for me to come back and "talk about it".
I believe High Country's sales techniques to be highly deceptive.
I asked very specific questions during the purchase process and received false answers.
It was a long, miserable negotiation and by far the worst car buying experience in a lifetime that has seen quite a few car purchases.
Prior to this experience I was a long-time loyal Toyota customer.
I doubt very seriously that I'll ever purchase another Toyota product.
They don't seem to care how their dealers get the cars sold.
