In reply to the Grieco link up above.... There are indeed several catches and I wouldn't give the dealership my money, even though after the catches the price is reasonable. The advertised price requires a $500 incentive discount for military, a $500 mazda owner loyalty discount. So add $1000 if those don't apply. They also add a $200 "Etch" charge for having the VIN etched on the windows for security. Oh, ... Read More
is this a good price could there be a catch? or are these just not selling? what do you guys think..am i missing something? http://griecomazdadelray.reachlocal.net/new/Mazda/2012-Mazda-Mazda5-Delray-Beach- - -a0855b500a0d064900a47962095d0ca6.htm
The $500 rebate for loyal Mazda customers no longer applies for the months of December 2012 and January 2013. So that's off the table. That said, it does seem that dealers (at least here in Austin) are trying to get rid of these. And yeah, 2013 models are only slightly changed from 2012. Just know that you're buying a car (2012) that's already one year old.
First offer (no negotiating) received for a 2012 GT (no options) in Texas was $21.9 for a 2012 Grand Touring, w/ invoice at $23.5 . Not bad at $1600 below invoice, but maybe not stellar considering we're at the end of the year and these dealerships gotta make space for all the 2013s that are coming in. There does seem to be considerable interest from the dealers to clear these 2012s ... Read More
I'm looking to buy a 2012 Mazda5 GT, and I'm using Trucar as the comparison price. It looks like I can get around $22k here in the Pac NW, but I know that there's a factory to dealer incentive of $1k going on right now in addition to the $500 customer rebate offered by Mazda. Am I crazy to think I should be doing better? (The $22k is after the $1,500 ... Read More
I paid $20600+$399 doc fee+taxes for the 2012 Sport at Courtesy Mazda in Henderson (las vegas area). I did get 60 month 0% financing incentive (good til 10/31/12) in lieu of the factory to dealer dealer $1500 incentive so a cash buyer or someone with their own financing should take that amount off the price. Only option on car was bumper guard ($50 invoice cost). Got same quote at the only ... Read More
http://www.insideline.com/mazda/6/2014/2014-mazda-6-debuts-at-2012-moscow-auto-s- - - how.html I don't care about the SkyActive engines either, although they are very fuel-efficient. I have a 2007 Mazda5 with the "old-fashioned" 2.3 engine. I've been very satisfied with it, so I'm sure I'd be happy with the 2.5 version that the 5 now has. The only thing holding me back from buying a new one is my wife's problem with the smile.
Only one model year, but remember that the 2012's were introduced in early 2011, so it's closer to two calendar years. http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?123811441-2013-Mazda-5
I bought my car July 2010, the car had 36 miles on it. Replaced the tires after 23k miles which I understand is pretty much what everybody else is doing on here. Went to tire dealer & put a 40k mileage set of tires on car June 2011. I've been rotating religiously, I go in June 2012 to have them rotated, I admit I am over the recommended mileage but hey ... Wow, you and I have had exactly opposite experiences with GM and Mazda. Back in the 90's, I owned two Buicks that pretty much disentegrated mechanically in the 50-60 K mile range and got traded immediately with expensive problems that I refused to pay for. I've also owned another 5 or 6 GM products over the last 50 years and never had one I would call a reliable vehicle and never ... Read More
Hello danny14. Mazda's April buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36-month lease of a 2012 Mazda5 GT with 12,000 miles per year are .00054 and 43%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier. I don't believe that Mazda is currently providing any cash incentives on leases of this car. Car_man Host Prices Paid: Buying & Leasing Experiences Forum
Here's the information that you're looking for danny14. Mazda's March buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36-month lease of a 2012 Mazda5 Sport with 12,000 miles per year are .00054 and 44%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier. I have been very happy with the General Altimax Arctic snow tires on my two Mazda's. Last I checked, Consumer Reports placed them as second best. Also, various snow tire forums rate them very well (I have a subscription but don't always trust CR). The Arctic's last long and run quiet on pavement, and they tend to be one of the least expensive snow tires available. As mentioned on many tire ... Read More
It's been over a couple years since the last post and a lot has changed so I figured this Mazda5 Traction / Stability Control forum needed an update... Our 2012 Mazda 5 GT is an incredible car in so many aspects and I am very impressed with it. One area of great satisfaction has been the Traction / Stability Control. The first time driving this car in snow was on a ... Read More
I have a new 2012 with only 4700 miles and when I went to change the oil noticed that it is leaking transmission fluid. Not sure how long it has been doing it. But you can see where it has dripped and coated under the vehicle. got an appointment with the dealer on Tuesday. Not to thrilled, first Mazda I've ever bought and not real impressed so far.
Bummer!! Shi** Hang in there. What about getting a new 2012? Mazda loyalty bonus of $500. 1.9 apr. And sometimes you can get steep discounts on the manuals. My local dealer had a screamer ad for a 2012 Mazda5 manual at $4000 off list. That would put it at about $16300. Freaking lotta car for the money.
Like I said in my earlier post after looking underneath a new M5 I'm pretty sure its just the 2012 Mazda5's new and improved part. I didn't mention in my earlier message that the service manager and I looked at the sway bar assembly for a new 2011 Mazda 3 and they were defineately different from the replacement part I recieved. But who knows I suppose anything is possible.
Our previous car was a 2004 Honda Pilot. We live in a big city, so 1 car is really all that makes sense for us. The Pilot was a little too big (OK, a lot too big) and not very fuel efficient for driving in the big city, but it was paid off and running great. We planned to run it into the ground. Unfortunately, the guy driving the GMC Envoy ... Read More
Just took delivery on a 2012 Mazda5. After 20 years of driving Hondas and working on cars myself, I never realized what an excellent vehicle Mazda makes until now. My wife and I really enjoy driving this car. We hope to keep it for many years to come. The dealer has been wonderful! Handling is excellent; engine & transmission (A5) are perfectly matched. I know cars and I must say that ... Read More
Thanks, Victor, I was hoping that since the 2012 has a new engine, it may not have been documented / tested that well -- and I could be wrong here. I am not sure how people bought Mazda 2012 in US and how many of those check their engine oil regularly ... one person pointed this out (but on the UK forum, which I believe is European version of Mazda 2012). ... It sounds like this an aftermarket product and not the Mazda one. It seems to be improperly installed or it lacks the security integration because the engine immobilizer or the security system is the one stopping your engine. The Mazda one does not do that, but it is less reliable.
Oxmoor Mazda seems to be offering "4000 off MSRP!" for a 2012 Mazda5. It's probably for the manual, but that's the better vehicle by far in my opinion anyway...Great deal for anyone in the area.
Mazda5 Touring with moonroof/audio package, all-weather floor mats, and window tinting for 20600. Generous trade-in and a fast, enjoyable transaction with no nonsense from reception to financial office.
I bought my 2012 Mazda5 Sport/Automatic in May of 2011; and in 2 months I have put 4,000 miles on it, and my wife and I love it more and more each day. I have noted that most of the negative comments about the car (performance, styling, gas mileage, etc.) are from non-owners. Here are my observations... Hi dusnambri. I can tell you what Mazda is advertising on this vehicle right now. I've seen it touting a 2012 Mazda5 Sport for $267 per month for 36 months with $2,000 down. Now that Mazda has decided to do away with a in-dash GPS option, where do I mount my GPS. On top of the "lip" above the information display is too far away for ease of use. If you look at the new Consumer Reports buying guide for 2011,it shows the same all black circle for 2009 Mazda 5 "suspension problems".I assume it will be the same for the 2010 in next years edition, after more miles are put on people's 2010 model. All the preliminary tests I have seen for the "new" 2012 Mazda 5 indicate no changes were made to the underpinnings,so I must assume the problem will ... I am looking for a new 2010 Mazda GT Auto under $20,000. I believe that it is coming soon because Mazda 5 sale is very slow so far. Thanks. Your logic is a little flawed, and here is why. I have an '05 Ford Freestyle that will easily get mid 20's MPG on the highway and I too was thinking about the Mazda5, but then if it wouldn't get in the 30+ MPG consistently on the highway it wouldn't be worth it. I'm waiting for the 2012 Ford C-Max Grand and 2012 redesigned Mazda 5 that should move the MPG up in the 30s.
I agree with you (ahtenasius)... the fact that only cars with ESC are even considered for safety awards, plus the fact that the technology has been mandated on all cars sold in the U.S. by 2012, should tell the public something. ESC is considered the biggest potential lifesaver since the seat belt, at least from what I'm reading (Full disclosure: I work for Edmunds.) Is it a big deal that it's ... Read More
