Lincoln Mark LT Transmission Problems

  • Re: 07 lincoln Mark LT [amberlt83]

Had the same problem with mine, it kinda felt like the transmission cause it only happened when i gave it a little gas. It would not happen if I floored the gas. Anyway my pick is a 2007 mark LT but the same problem happens wide spread with all 5.4 liter engines. I replaced the spark plugs and it runs beautiful, I can't even feel it idling. Look up changing spark ... Read More

I have a 2006 with 87K miles and started having the same issue a few months ago. In the beginning, it only happened every once in a while but now it happens almost every time I drive it. To top it off, my warranty just lapsed so hopefully it's nothing too serious. I plan on taking it to a shop this week so hopefully it's something easy and inexpensive. I'll let ... Read More

Hi - We are having an issue with a truck we bought mid-June. When we are in about 3rd gear, and we give it "medium" gas (not light, not floor it) it "lurches" or jumps like it isn't getting enough gas. It doesn't happen all the time, but pretty frequently. If we give it light gas or floor it, it doesn't happen. Also, it SEEMS to happen more when it's hot, ... Read More

Lincoln Mark LT Brake Questions

  • Bad Truck Brakes

    Written by: madatford2008 on Sep 28, 2008 1:09:39 PM

Our 2007 Lincoln Mark LT truck has a brake failure (truck sometimes won't stop) that the dealer refuses to fix and will not report to Ford Motor Company. We have had it to the dealer 3 times for the same problem. The dealer/owner said that it will cost us a lot of money to get into another vehicle. I believe that there is something wrong with the ABS on this truck. ... Read More

You seem to think you know things that you don't know. I have driven both trucks. If you think there is so much difference between a King Ranch and an LT, you haven't. BTW, EVERY body panel between the two is the same, with just a bit of trim detail difference. and the LT got a different grill pattern shoved into the same F150 grill hole (plus a couple of lame ... Karen I agree with you so much ! I have an LT also, the best vehicle I have ever owned ! The ride, the seats, and the looks are no match. My wife was not interested in the truck until she got in it. She loves the ride, and the compliments everyweek. I might have to purchas another LT because she is in it all the time. Still and all, the Mark LT is dead. No 08. No plans for a replacement. It may have a "presence" due to the added chrome, but this was a blatant example of badge engineering. No body panel variations at all. It was at best a trim level of the F150 (not a bad thing as that is a good looking truck). So actually, a loaded F150 is an even better value...and ... Read More

Yes it is useless on the H2 SUT .Check it out on the EXT or Avalanche. Try it out and then voice your opinion. I would be interested to hear it. Frank

Having read Michael Jordan's review of the Mark LT and the Escalade EXT, my guess is that he'd never been behind the wheel of a truck before reviewing these two. Talk about comparing apples and oranges... these trucks are $12210 apart in base price; of course the Caddy's going to win out. That's not exactly rocket science. At age 50, my '07 Mark LT is my eighth pickup. My previous trucks ... Read More

Hi What are these trucks missing? A Truck in such a prestiges class, price range, and quality should have a POWERED HARD TONNEAU COVER. The luxury should not stop at the tonneau cover. Everything else is powered. Such a feature should be an option, or better a standard. Such a system available for the EXT. Auto-Covers show a system on their website that has everything the current tonneau on the EXT ... Read More

According to the Cadillac website, a three piece lockable (and removable) tonneau cover is standard equipment. I am not totally sure how the mid gate works, but I would think that one could stow the mid gate and then also lock the tonneau cover along with the rest of the truck. Thoughts?

Well, my first comment is that the reviewer, one Michael Jordan, should get better informed before he says this: "Loving trucks is as American as the Marlboro Man. But just as that rough and rugged pitchman has ridden off into the sunset (probably coughing), ..." The truth is that the poor Marlboro man died long ago ... of lung cancer. That's about as big a surprise as the fact that another ... Read More

I can understand why people would be interested in a luxury truck. Ford makes a decent truck, no question about it but I do not understand why people would want a Lincoln Mark LT, when it is essentially a clone of the F-150. Same engine, transmission, same body styling, same ride quality, FROM THE CAR SPACE REVIEW SECTION THAT MAKES MY POINT “as-tested price for this Mark LT 4x4 was $47,600. ... Read More

i went to ford's website and noticed that you pics you viewed were from a 2006 lincoln mark lt brochure. i know the site says "2007 mark lt" but trust me, it's not. notice the pic of the seat-it shows the lincoln emblem embedded in leather in the seatback. for 2007 the emblem is chrome.

1st off, that is not a 2007 mark lt. as i mentioned before-i have pics but i don't have a scanner. that is the last of the 06 models with some minor adjustments. as far as the new york auto show- i have no idea why lincoln didn't show the 07 mark lt. and the grille is going to remain "waterfall".

1021 units, a whopping 48.6 increase over April 2005. If Lincoln were to drop in more design, power and features the Mark LT would be a smash hit. Whatever happened to them showing a 2007 Mark LT at New York?

At this point, Buick and Pontiac are more likely to make it, given the product being introduced or in the pipeline. Buick needs to move beyond its sedans, and the new crossover will help. Still, one or both going away would not hurt GM much, considering they will still have Chevrolet, Saturn (now tied with Opel), GMC and Cadillac. Plus Saab, but they may need to depart too. Lincoln is directionless ... Read More

The 2007 Escalade pickup has a different interior from its Chevy and GMC stablemates. The regular Escalade and Escalade extended have significant style variations from the other two. On the other hand, you could order an uplevel F150 and also order and install a Mark LT grill, and most people would not see any difference between your F150 and a Mark. Lincoln should have immediately fixed the Blackwood's problems (no 4WD ... Read More
