Have to keep the spouse happy! My wife taught me a couple years after we were married to drive a manual transmission - now I don't want to go back. In fact, she refuses to let me buy a non-manual car so she can have some driving fun when she's not hauling kids around in a minivan! I also agree with m6user - the big cities and congestion can really make driving a MT get old quickly. For me, I just live in a mid-size metro area so rarely am in bumper to bumper traffic.

I would love to have a MT, but I have a wife and the wife will not drive one even though she learned to drive a car using a MT. Go Figure. 90% of the time I will be driving it, but it's that 10% of the time when I need the bigger car and she needs to use mine, is whats holding me back from the MT. I'm sure there is a number of people in the same boat as me.
G37 Coupe Lease July deal?
by rickwell on Sun Jul 05 18:21:28 PDT 2009
I have been offered the following LEASE information/deal for a new G37 Coupe w/Prem, Nav, Wheel Pkg & Kick Plates as follows: MSRP = $ 43,995 CAP COST = $ 39,969 ($40,281 listed inv) MF = .00176 39mt/12k RESIDUAL = 59% TOTAL OOP = $2,200.00 ($595 BANK FEE, FIRST MONTH?, TT&T & JUNK FEES) I figure a deal at invoice should run about $1,300 total OOP using their July numbers. This should yield a payment of $516/mt X 38. If anyone is able to evaluate the deal and recommend a better target, please reply.

I say $22,600 for a '07 coupe w/ 27000 miles is very good. When I traded in my '05 coupe w/ only ~15K miles in late '06, I got around mid 23K.

Looking at new 08 G37 coupe 6MT at $7000 off MSRP. Also trading in my 2007 G35 coupe with 27,000 miles and they offered 22,600 for trade. Seems like a pretty good deal, what do you all think?? Please let me know any comments.
