I just rented a 2011 Town & Country with 22900 miles on it and we just put 1700 miles on it in a week going from Texas to St Louis and back. Due to our local Hertz location's limited hours, I have it for the weekend, and it goes back Monday. It has several issues. 1) It idles rough for a few minutes and I think this is its way of ... I am in the market for a new mini van and have narrowed it down to the Chrysler TC touring L or Honda Odyssey EX-L. I would really like to hear from some TC owners 2011-2012 models. Would love to get some actual owners opinions likes/dislikes reliability issues etc. and just your overall feeling of this vehicle. I plan on keeping this vehicle for at least 10+. I am gravitating towards ... Read More

Test drove the 2012 Town and Country and it seems really nice. With incentive/rebates, the dealer is offering the Touring for $21000! Seems like a great deal. A bit nervous based on some brakes & transmission shudder troubles I've read (see post in Edmunds) on the 2011 version. Would really like to hear from those who have purchased one on their experiences - specially with regards to maintenance issues. Anything in ... Read More
I have spent too much money on brake pads, rotors and calipers. This is the third time I've had every thing replaced - both front and back with 90,000 kms on my 2008 Town and Country. I was told the caliber was sticking due to very dirty brake fluid (my fault). I just had the van in in March 2011 when they replaced all brakes and rotors and checked all fluids. ... Read More

This isn't a big deal but how do you get the image from a dvd to show up on the dashboard screen. I know it can be done because I did it once but can't remember how I did it. So, I would like to see what is playing on my second row seats on the dvd on the dashboard/media screen.

NOTICE TO ALL OWNERS OF A 2011 TOWN & COUNTRY TOURING VAN: Going the "lemon law route" will only prolong the agony, without any guarantee that the outcome will meet your expectations. We have had our 2011 T & C Touring Van for a year, and it took 6 months to finally get it fixed correctly. It was in and out of the dealership so many times and there was so ... Read More

I also am having shudder/vibration problems with our 2011 T&C. They replaced the cylinder head, but problem is still there. The freaking car is a lemon, not sure I am ready for the hassles of lemon law. My advice to all my family and friends, do NOT BUY CHRYSLER. We have had our 2011 Town and Country for 4 months now. The problem we are havign is that the Nav system will occassionally, on start-up, lose all saved addresses including Home address. In addition, the saved favorite radio stations will be cleared. The music we have saved to the hard drive is unaffected. The list of bluetooth linked devices is unaffected. With the cam phaser issue - does your van exhibit a mild but constant engine shuddering at 1200 to 1400 RPM - in neutral or park? Both cold and hot? First noticed this shuttering or rough idle issue with my van - the day we bought it. At the time - assumed it was a simple to repair cold start issue. But - over the past 3 months - I have ... As long as Chrysler is aknowleging the problem, and are getting the back orders caught up there won't be a recall. However if the engine does not run then you have a reason to ask the Chrysler Zone Rep to get involved. and the can get things done very soon.

none of the caravans or Town & Country's were made in Mexicco. All caravans & Town & Country's are made in Winsor Canada. The engine could have been made in Mexicp or the US. The Windo sticker states which. I would carefully reconsider the van with an engine made in Mexico, as they have had some issues with Mexican made 3.6 L engines. They are retooling to make all engines in ... Read More

Chrysler has finally found the "code" for the problem that we have with our 2011 Town & Country van. A Cam Sensor "phaser" needs to be replaced. The service technician told us that we only need one phaser, but other people have to replace more than one for their vans. We were told that there were 225 phasers on back order. What does that tell you??!!! Sounds like a "recall" is ... Read More

The V6 engine is all new. This engine (3.6 liters?) is used in other Chrysler vehicles (e.g. Jeep Grand Cherokee). I would check out the forums to see if any issues have emerged with this engine. Good luck.
I have a 2008 Town and Country Limited with only 15,000 miles and 3 years of use, the minivan work ok for all this time without any issue releated to the transmission, we have the same issues like other 5th generation minivans like changing brakes every 7,000 miles, doors not closing at some times, and sounds coming from a lot of different places.
