i myself is the proud owner of a 2011 T/C ....it has the same engine, exterior and interior looks as with the 2012 to 2014 models but Chrysler added more luxurious features in their latest models...my T/C now has a mileage reading of 56,000 kms(35,000 miles)driven for more than 2 years now but still everything seems very good with the van.....you noticed that Edmunds.com gave a low grade to T/C compared to ... I have a 2011 and love it other than the brake problem I am currently experiencing. I got rid of the 2008 due to brake and rotor wear issues and am very irritated that at 36k I have to have the rotors turned! I was assured that the issue with the 2008 was resolved when I traded it in on the 2011.
I heard that Chrysler will continue to produce T/C but will stop the Caravan.Sharing my experience re the T/C,i purchased a 2011 T/C touring model on August 2011, exactly two years now at 51,200 kms. mileage at present (32,000 miles ?).This minivan is very reliable and powerful and doesn't give me any headache at all.I'm just hoping the good performance of this van will continue for years and just planning to ... Well resale value is very real. And while you may not care, most people do (and should). Case in point with my 2006 Odyssey I sold. I shopped heavily back in 2006 and the Town and Country Touring model and Odyssey EX-L were considered (along with the Sienna XLE). Price wise, my Honda cost about $2200 more than the similarly equipped T&C Touring model (the Sienna was within about $1K of ... Read More

2013 Chrysler Town and Country Review: After extensive time with the two Odyssey models and then the Sienna, I drove straight away to the Chrysler dealer a few miles down the street. I did not even make it all the way out of my car in the parking lot before I was approached by a salesman on the lot.. Uh oh, I thought (a pushy one). We chatted about what I ... Read More
My apologies if this problem was addressed in earlier posts. My 2011 T&C shifts roughly under various conditions, especially when cold. In Eco, it "bangs" or "thumps" and pauses between first and second gear; in non-Eco mode, it "chatters" between second and third gear. It also bangs or thumps when the transmission downshifts when slowing down for a stop light or traffic. Also, when accelerating into highway traffic, the engine sometimes ... Read More
was in an accident do to the fob key. I bought my 2010 town & country the first of May in 2011. It shut off on me at least three times before we were in the accident. I just rented a 2011 Town & Country with 22900 miles on it and we just put 1700 miles on it in a week going from Texas to St Louis and back. Due to our local Hertz location's limited hours, I have it for the weekend, and it goes back Monday. It has several issues. 1) It idles rough for a few minutes and I think this is its way of ... I am in the market for a new mini van and have narrowed it down to the Chrysler TC touring L or Honda Odyssey EX-L. I would really like to hear from some TC owners 2011-2012 models. Would love to get some actual owners opinions likes/dislikes reliability issues etc. and just your overall feeling of this vehicle. I plan on keeping this vehicle for at least 10+. I am gravitating towards ... Read More
Test drove the 2012 Town and Country and it seems really nice. With incentive/rebates, the dealer is offering the Touring for $21000! Seems like a great deal. A bit nervous based on some brakes & transmission shudder troubles I've read (see post in Edmunds) on the 2011 version. Would really like to hear from those who have purchased one on their experiences - specially with regards to maintenance issues. Anything in ... Read More
I have spent too much money on brake pads, rotors and calipers. This is the third time I've had every thing replaced - both front and back with 90,000 kms on my 2008 Town and Country. I was told the caliber was sticking due to very dirty brake fluid (my fault). I just had the van in in March 2011 when they replaced all brakes and rotors and checked all fluids. ... Read More
im sorry, i only have 1 dvd player in my van and it is in the dash, so im not sure. however my dvd player doesnt work when the car is in drive, they say its for safety
This isn't a big deal but how do you get the image from a dvd to show up on the dashboard screen. I know it can be done because I did it once but can't remember how I did it. So, I would like to see what is playing on my second row seats on the dvd on the dashboard/media screen.
NOTICE TO ALL OWNERS OF A 2011 TOWN & COUNTRY TOURING VAN: Going the "lemon law route" will only prolong the agony, without any guarantee that the outcome will meet your expectations. We have had our 2011 T & C Touring Van for a year, and it took 6 months to finally get it fixed correctly. It was in and out of the dealership so many times and there was so ... Read More
I also am having shudder/vibration problems with our 2011 T&C. They replaced the cylinder head, but problem is still there. The freaking car is a lemon, not sure I am ready for the hassles of lemon law. My advice to all my family and friends, do NOT BUY CHRYSLER. When you pay extra dollars for a new car you expect it to perform. I have never ever had these problems with ... Read More
We have had our 2011 Town and Country for 4 months now. The problem we are havign is that the Nav system will occassionally, on start-up, lose all saved addresses including Home address. In addition, the saved favorite radio stations will be cleared. The music we have saved to the hard drive is unaffected. The list of bluetooth linked devices is unaffected. This has happened at least 6 times so far ... Read More
With the cam phaser issue - does your van exhibit a mild but constant engine shuddering at 1200 to 1400 RPM - in neutral or park? Both cold and hot? First noticed this shuttering or rough idle issue with my van - the day we bought it. At the time - assumed it was a simple to repair cold start issue. But - over the past 3 months - I have ... As long as Chrysler is aknowleging the problem, and are getting the back orders caught up there won't be a recall. However if the engine does not run then you have a reason to ask the Chrysler Zone Rep to get involved. and the can get things done very soon.
none of the caravans or Town & Country's were made in Mexicco. All caravans & Town & Country's are made in Winsor Canada. The engine could have been made in Mexicp or the US. The Windo sticker states which. I would carefully reconsider the van with an engine made in Mexico, as they have had some issues with Mexican made 3.6 L engines. They are retooling to make all engines in ... Read More
Chrysler has finally found the "code" for the problem that we have with our 2011 Town & Country van. A Cam Sensor "phaser" needs to be replaced. The service technician told us that we only need one phaser, but other people have to replace more than one for their vans. We were told that there were 225 phasers on back order. What does that tell you??!!! Sounds like a "recall" is ... Read More
Keanezra, I missed seeing your June 07 post until today. I am today sending the second letter to the Chrysler Customer Assistance Center reporting the problem and requesting our van be repaired. We took our new van to a different Chrysler dealership to get a second opinion and they couldn't recreate the noise, stallilng, check engine lights, etc. It dawned on me that we have an old video camera and we ran it each time we started the van, and sure 'nough, we caught it on tape and without shutting it off, headed for the dealership. I bought a 2011 T&C in April. Our fifth minivan in the last 20 yrs. Three of them were Chrysler. We love the Stow-N-Go feature of the 2011, quite convenient. Seems like there is something wrong with the transmission especially when 'ECON' (for 'Economy' )is ... Read More
We purchased the 2011 T & C Touring L van in January 2011. While having the oil changed at 3,000 miles, it set a "check engine" light. A few weeks later, when using the remote starting feature, the vehicle started with a chugging sound which diminished after a few seconds. That day, the check engine light came on again and ...
