2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray: Making Payment

September 27, 2013

Even though we opted to pick up our 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky, we still had to pay for the car through a dealer.

We chose Bunnin Chevrolet in Culver City, California. Ron Vartanian, General Manager and Chad Kelman, General Sales Manager were nice enough to come to our office in Santa Monica to complete the transaction.

We signed all the necessary paperwork and handed over a check for $71,664.40.

We're taking delivery of our Corvette Stingray on Tuesday, October 1 at 10:30 a.m. Central Time (8:30 a.m. Pacific Time). Our Lime Rock Green Z51 Corvette Coupe will be parked in the Corvette Museum with a webcam focused on it so that you can watch the transaction.

We're going to embed the live webcam on our site so you can tune in Tuesday morning and see it happen. So, mark your calendars for Oct 1. Should be pretty sweet. See you then.

  • Awesome! Can't wait to read about the Stingray. Nice color choice by the way. I always enjoy seeing sports cars in loud colors. Black, silver, or white are always nice but if you're going to have a high performance machine you might as well let everyone know it arrived.

  • aaaand here I am again! Should've really looked at the shade of green before assuming it was bright! Still a very nice color though, I was looking forward to a brighter green though kinda like the Jalapeno green on the chevy spark but oh well.

Whoo hoo. This will be better than the Z06 Long Termer--you have a warranty. But $71K large--you must have loaded it up--that's about $10K more than I expected. But I know Edmunds likes loaded cars because it can report on all the options. I know this is a car you are going to go through tires on a regular basis. Look forward to the next year.

Awesome car. If you like cheap power. Were they all out of Saleen Mustangs?

$71k, huh? Looks like you splurged on a 3LT with MR, performance exhaust, a special roof and a few other options. Should be a fun year!

While I think generally Corvettes ought to be yellow, there are not enough green cars in the world and so I approve of the color change
