I was out on another Cadillac forum and I read a posting from a guy who has a 2005 CTS that was burning a couple of quarts every 1000 miles or so. This guy obviously knows something about cars because he made a modification to his PCV vacuum tube (don't ask me to explain what he did), and apparently the engine no longer drinks oil. So that got me looking around ... Read More
Another dealer in LI said he would do the order for $800 over invoice, he said there were not these fees but I may have led him on to say that and he has not been too responsive. Try this forum to see if you can get any help from the forum sponsor? I think a lot of them are in the NE and most claim to sell at invoice and ... Read More

porschecarrera, 7:59 is a lap record for a production sedan. Obviously, there are many classes of vehicles that test and develop at the Nurburgring. Here is Cadillac's May 9, 2008 press release regarding the Nurburgring time: "2009 CTS-V Blisters Nurburgring. Breaks 8-minute barrier - potentially the fastest documented lap time for a production sedan In testing today at Germany’s Nurburgring, Cadillac’s upcoming new 2009 CTS-V completed a lap of the legendary ... Once you get your hands on a supercharged 556-horsepower 2009 Cadillac CTS-V, you know that you need a 500-hp 2008 BMW M5 with which to measure it. It's a matter of practical science. Of course, there's a sizable price difference between the $59,995 CTS-V and the $86,675 M5, and we don't want to get our comparison results skewed by mere money. Maybe we should add the 507-hp 2009 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG ... Read More

I would be concerned. I really like the 2008 CTS. I am strongly considering buying the 2009 model. As a matter of fact, I am a raving fan. But this is the kind of post that will sway me to stay with the Japanese cars and get the G35. I recognize that Cadillac may need to work out some kinks in the new model. That's one of the reasons that I ... Read More

Edmunds had these first. Autoblog had larger ones. http://www.autoblog.com/photos/spy-shots-2009-cadillac-cts-v-undisguised/
Yep..... ;) What's going to be even more impressive is when you see the 2009' CTS-V out run C5 Corvette's Z0-6's and just maybe a C6 Vette ;) It will be worth watching what the 0-60 and quarter mile times will be on the 09 "V". Some say 515 hp. Some say 550 hp. and a lot say 600 hp. I am hoping it will be 600 hp. as that would ... Read More

markcincinnati, I honestly enjoyed reading your posts but like plekto said the content of it isn't true. You slip in some smiles about how nice the CTS, is but at the same time you are reaching around with a knife stabbing it in the back. The fact remains the Bimmer's, Audi's, Mercedes, you love and adore so much don't come close in reliability, warranty, cost of repairs. Gosh damn, the free ... Read More

9-Vehicals to talk about ? I appreciate the offer. Ummmmmmmmm.......... Well a couple off the top of my head is the 2009' Cadillac CTS-V, 2008' Mitsubishi Lancer EVO-X, 2008' BMW M3, Acura TL Type-S and/or the new 09' SH-AWD TL, Audi S4 & S6, Mercedes C63 AMG model, Volvo S60R, Lincoln is suppose to come out with a SVT tuned MKZ in a couple of years. I also don't mind Chrysler's ... Read More
As some of you know, I used to own a 2003 CTS LuxSport before trading it for the 2005 SRX I own now. (kids happen). I've waited to let the pictures, comments and press releases digest before I chimed in. So here goes. Exterior: The previous car was pretty radical...very in your face. You either liked it or you didn't and Cadillac stuck its neck out on the line that it ... Read More
I've never driven a BMW 335i, but based on the road tests it has superb performance. It gets pretty expensive fast when you start clicking the options buttons but I assume most buyers will be in the $44-$46K range with one. I personally think a no i-drive, no navigation, no active steering unit, with a manual transmission, sports package, heated seats, is the best value for the driving enthusiast. The Infiniti ... Pearl, I 100% agree even a few thousand more they could get away with it. There is no reason why this car shouldn't have a powerful DVD-Audio surround sound system, heated+ ventilated(AC) seats, pwr tilt/telescoping wheel, multi adjustment seats w/ pwr lumbar, voice recognition that controls the audio, climate, bluetooth, navigation system, adaptive cruise control, and IMHO they need to use the swivel headlamps. A pre-collison system along with the latest ... Read More
