onWe went in to drive a new Tucson and discovered the vehicle they were selling as new had 1700 miles on it (we discovered it by glancing at the odometer during the test drive - we were not told before that).
Said they had a new one they could get us at another dealership so we signed agreement on pricing after they assured us the vehicle would have less than 50 miles on it.
About three hours later they said that vehicle they found had 900 miles on it,
and that there were no other vehicles in our area in that color with the options we wanted.
Found what was essentially the same vehicle (different floor mats and possibly other very minor differences) in the same color, new, in Lynnwood on our own on the web in about 10 minutes after getting home.
Went and bought that one.
This dealership needs to clearly label cars that have been used as demos and needs to try harder to locate new inventory locally.
The people were pleasant enough but it ended up being a big waste of time, and the "new" car with 1700 miles on it was strange (though it is legal to sell cars as new if they haven't been titled regardless of the mileage).
Things probably usually go better for them - but they did not go well at all for us.
