SHADY AND INCOMPETENT
Written by 04/16/2024
onI bought my Altima in for routine services (tire rotation and brake pad replacement) with coupons. The tire rotation should have been $14.95 and brake pad replacement should have been $99.95. Kevin, the most incompetent service advisor I’ve ever dealt with charged me for work that I did not authorize (resurfacing rotors) and when I brought it to his attention, he responded by saying the best he could was take $25 off my total as the work had already been done by the shop. I expressed my dissatisfaction, and his response was, “I’m going to lunch; someone else will close you out. Have a good day, Ms. Campbell. I’m fuming at this point. Over comes his supervisor Nicholas to “mansplain” to me why they did work I did not authorize. I explained to him that I came in with a very specific purpose and did not authorize any additional work. He then goes on to try to sell me on the unauthorized work by telling me that damaged, warped, or misaligned brake rotors can cause the steering wheel to shake and vibrate when braking. This was not an issue that I had before they did the work, but it is an issue that I have now. He then told me that he would follow up with his supervisor to see what could be done as far as discounts on future services. This was on April 5, and I have yet to hear from him. I did, however, receive a text from Kevin on April 7 to follow up on my service experience. When I again expressed my displeasure with customer service. He ignored me. In summary, not only do I feel like they pulled a bait and switch, but the work that was done was shoddy and the service advisor team’s response to their mistake was piss poor. I’ve saved all messages and documentation in case they want to dispute the claims I’ve made against them.
