Worst dealer in the area!!!!!
Written by valen1953 on 10/01/2007
I went to this dealer to buy a 5 Series. I asked the recepcionist (greeter) for a spanish speaking salesman, even though I speak english, I feel more comfortable in my own language. She told me to wait. After something like maybe five minutes, finally this guy shows up. First, he never properly introduced himself, I felt like this guy was doing me a favor in just talking to me. He never offred his business card. He told me that he doesn't have any 5 Series in stock. He doesn't offers to order the car, or to look at pre-owned cars. NOTHING!!!!! The guy just stands there like I'm wasting his time. I have never felt so disrecpected. Suffice to say, every chance I get, I tell this story. This was a terrible experience. I have purchased so many cars in my life including (BMW, POrsche, Mbenz, etc); this was the first time somebody refused to sell me a car.

After reading your comment...I have to wonder if you are the one with the superiority complex. First of all, if you wanted a spanish person to receive credit for your purchase; why didn't you simply purchase a car in Dade? Ft. Lauderdale is not as saturated with spanish speakers as Dade. And it sounds to me like you were being discriminative, and the people at that dealership obviously felt the same way. If all you wanted was a good deal on a 5 series, and you speak well, why did the race of the sales person matter so much?

Too bad you do have helpful responses, EX1140. Instead your pea-sized brain has to talk about race...since when is Spanish a race? Hmmm, try a language. Hispanic or Latino is a race. Also, when did VALEN1953's post talk anything about a Spanish-speaking person to "receive credit for your purchase". Had you ever learned to speak another language, you would find that it's always easier to speak about technical issues in your native tongue, vice another. I know I would rather buy a car from someone who spoke English instead of the language I learned, which is Russian. It's ignorant Gringos like you that give knowledgeable Gringos like me a bad name. And for your information, there is a lot of Spanish-speaking individuals in Broward...just break out of your shell and you will see. Sorry about the salesman, Valen1953. I'm hoping their Service Dept is better.
