I have bought 3 vehicles from Sunny King Ford. I had a great experience with the first 2 purchases, but the most recent purchase was awful for many reasons, and I will never buy another vehicle from them again. I took my mom for an oil change at the Quick Lane attached to Sunng King Ford. I had plans to go car shopping a couple of weekends later, but I saw a vehicle on the lot I wanted to look at. Within less than a minute of peeking in the window, a salesman approached me. I explained I was just looking at it and that I wasn't prepared to buy a car that day, but he insisted on getting keys and letting me test drive several vehicles though I was only interested in the one. I said no to test driving the others, which I don't think he was very happy about. I went in pre-approved for a high amount with a low interest rate and knew I wanted to use the lender I was already approved through. I had a fairly large down payment and a trade-in that was worth what I owed on it (I looked up Kelly Blue Book value well in advance). I specifically said multiple times that I did not give them permission to run my credit through other lenders because I wanted to use MY lender. They ended up running my credit through eight (8) different lenders anyway and tanked my credit score over 50 points in one day. To top it all off, my lender ended up offering the best interest rate regardless. They also tried to intentionally short me on my trade-in (they offered $3.5k less than what it was worth) and refused to come off of the price of their vehicle though it was overpriced by at least $5k. I told them the price range I wanted my payments in, and they kept coming back to me with options way out of my payment price range like they were trying to get me to cave. After sitting there for 8 hours arguing/fighting with them, I got up to leave. I was tired of it and had a lot to do before I left to go out of town the following day. Of course as soon as I stood up and said I was leaving, they suddenly decided they could pay off my trade-in and got the monthly payment right inside my monthly payment price range. There were some very shady things that happened during this car buying process. I ended up with the vehicle I wanted, but I will never go back and do business with them again. They have lost a long-time customer.
