Don't Give Them Blanket Service Approval

I've been getting my Lexus serviced by them for years.
They do provide a very high quality of customer service, but be warned.
The will try to upsell on everything from unneeded windshield wipers and tire rotation/balancing to outrageous fluild topup charges.
I insist they only do the specific maintanance listed in my owners manual and nothing else.
They must call me if they find a problem.
No additional services of any kind without my approval.
This has cut my maintenance costs by at least $100 per visit.
They recently attempted to charge my for windshield washer fluid topup (typical of them) when I had filled it just before going in for service.
When confronted they retracted this item.
Be specific and carefully check your bill with them.
