Pleasant and Easy Buying Experience
Written by Dallasblues515 on 11/12/2014
I just bought a 2014 Chrysler Town & Country from Steve Evans at Dallas Dodge. The experience was a good one and Steve did all he could to make sure that I left with the vehicle I wanted and a deal I was happy with.

I need to amend my original positive post. Once the deal was over/ink dry my salesperson, Steve Evans, was no longer helpful. He actually offended me on two separate occasions during phone conversations that I had with him in the weeks after the sale. I excused the first negative conversation with him because I had been transferred to his cell on his day off and thought I had probably just caught him off of his game. He also made an effort to make up for that particular disagreement and thought we were back on good terms, which is what I prefer. The second time he was rude I wasn't as understanding. When I bought the car Steve said my plates would be sent directly to me but that if I brought them into the dealership he would put them on for me, run the car through the car wash and fill up my tank. He just offered that up, we had not even asked about the plates. A few weeks later, the receptionist called and said the plates were in. I told her that I would come and get them (even though he said they would be sent to me directly) because Steve had said he'd fill the car up and wash it. She sounded surprised and asked if I would like to be transferred to Steve to confirm before I came out. I said sure. Steve answered and when I told him I was calling to let him know I was coming out the next day for the plates and the services he had offered he acted like maybe I was crazy. He was curt and basically made me feel like I had dreamed up the offer. I was taken aback by his attitude and was offended. I was not looking for a handout, merely doing what he had suggested. I told him to forget it and called the receptionist back and had her mail the plates. At this point I also have a comment on the dealership. I purchased the vehicle from Dallas Dodge as co-buyer with my husband because Steve said it was always better to have both spouses on a loan. I drive the vehicle and I make the payments. Right after the negative interaction with Steve, I received an email announcing the arrival of the dealership's new service manager. It came to MY business email address, but to my husband's name only. I replied to the email stating that it was inappropriate and sexist to address an email/mail/any correspondence with customers in that fashion. It's 2015 and women buy cars, service their cars and actually pay for their own cars and that this made me want to take my car elsewhere for service. I got no reply from the dealership. Not even an auto/standard response like they give to negative comments on this site) We have since bought two more cars for our kids - not from Steve/Dallas Dodge - and I'm taking my car to Love Field Chrysler Dodge for service.
