Bad experience

onTook my 328 in for the routine 60K service. Was told that a number of things were wrong, and the repairs would be $4000! The "problems" were suspicious--oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket, spark plug wires--all classic scam items. So I pulled the car and took it to another dealer for the 60K. I specifically asked them to check the oil pan, valve cover, and wires along with the 60K. Guess what? No problems, just tighten a few bolts that were slightly below the specified torque. The service and repairs (I did need brakes) came to $1800. Expensive, yes. But not $4000! It is so frustrating to have to deal with these [violative content deleted]. Of course I will never go back to BMW of Annapolis. I'm shopping for a new 5-series now, and for the sake of a $2200 rip-of attempt, this dealer threw away what could have been a profitable relationship with a loyal customer. I don't get it. Oh, one more thing. I did call to speak to the Service manager about my experience. Would not take my call, would not return my call.
