Don't go!-- Unauthorized charges-- car in pieces

onI brought in my van for a diagnostic check and was told it would be $75. The staff called to indicate the issues/ problems/ repairs needed that were over $8000! It was clear that they were just trying to gouge the customer for every penny of unnecessary work. I wanted a second opinion and told them no to the repairs and would pay the agreed $75. The staff said they had to "take apart" the engine to complete the diagnostic which would be over $400 of labor needed to pay. I was never called to discuss this additional service/ cost nor did I authorized anything more than the $75. If they couldn't do the diagnostic under the $75, then they should have called to explain what was the next steps and cost. POOR customer service. The van was in pieces and they won't put it back together without payment. What a scam! Don't ever go to their service and repair department if you want honest and fair service!!!
