#RebuildDetroit Brick By Brick

Brick By Brick

Detroit, the legendary birthplace and home of the American auto industry, is currently undergoing a revitalization that is restoring the city to beauty and prosperity.

Edmunds.com is proud to have opened a satellite office in downtown Detroit in the summer of 2014. The new Edmunds.com office is located in a landmark building near the Renaissance Center and Cobo Hall with a view of the Detroit River. It also overlooks Hart Plaza, a 14-acre municipal park that is home to iconic festivals and popular concerts. Sadly, vandals recently caused $1 million in damage to the plaza. The city has made efforts for its improvement, but finances have been limited.

In celebration of its new office space and its 20th anniversary online, Edmunds.com has stepped up to launch the #RebuildDetroit Brick by Brick Campaign, in collaboration with the Detroit Recreation Department. This grassroots campaign allows everyone - from big organizations to individual donors - to take part in the restoration of Hart Plaza and other Detroit locations.

Initially, patrons' names will be inscribed on pavers that will repair broken walkways that currently present a tripping hazard for plaza visitors.
