2014 Mazda CX-5: Another Audio Issue

June 17, 2013

2014 Mazda CX-5

Just the other day we told you about the intermittent iPod, today it's done something even stranger.

When listening to the stereo via ANY source, the stereo will cut out all but the right rear speaker for 5 seconds to upwards of a minute. The balance/fader settings don't change, nor do they work during this time of interrupted music. Sound comes from one speaker and there's nothing you can do about it.

We had an appointment for service anyways; they'll look at this, too.

Yikes. Sounds like what happens when the GPS is announcing directions but the announcement volume is turned down.

Sometimes, when it comes to warranty work it is better when all this stuff goes really wrong, so they can't just say "Oh they all do that."

I got my 2014 Mazda CX 5 Touring recently and from the day 1 I am facing the exactly same abrupt sound volume level change issue. Talked to Mazda and dealer and they were not aware of any such issue. Did anyone find any solution or get this issue fixed by dealer?
