I couldn't read all of that since it was mostly a couple of run on sentences but I will point out the false parts of what I did read. RRS have not been delayed. Land Rover told us this past winter that 2008s would arrive in July. My drop dates for 2008 Sports and LR3s have been the last week in June or the first week in July since January. There ... There aren't many 2007 Sports around right now so no big discounts. Maybe if you catch a demo or at the end of the month if someone is one sale away from an objective but that is it. Also think how many more E350s Merc sales compared to Range Rover Sports. I bet Mercedes sales more E-classes in the US then Land Rover sells vehicles period. All of that volume allows ... Read More
You truly have no idea what you are talking about. Rover's quality was worse when it was owned by BMW then it is now. Rover's quality was much, much worse back before BMW owned them because they had no capital to improve the products. BMW provided a fair amount of capital to help rover do some things but mainly just bought rover so that they would not have to develop 4wd ... Read More
The dealership is not out of touch with reality that is what a 71,250 dollar car leases for without any incentives. The entire marketplace has gotten crazy with incentives in the past few years and Land Rover has ZERO incentives on their vehicles with the exeption of left over 2006 MY LR3s. I was just at the launch for the new land rover and one of the things we talked about ... Read More
I have been shopping around for a Range Rover Sport Supercharged since December 2006 and have certainly noticed some price fluctuation in the last few months. For example in late December, I managed to negotiate down a Range Rover Sport with an MSRP of $73,550.00 down to $69,550.00, but decided against it as I felt the lease prices were a bit high, and I wanted to wait for the 2007 model. ... Can someone please shed some light on why Land Rover dealers are asking for INSANE amounts of money for RRS leases? I have done some shopping around and found the following prices for a 36 month lease with 0 down and 12K miles/year: 2007 BMW 745LI (MSRP $82,675) - $1120/mo 2007 MB ML 500 (MSRP $66,670) - $999/mo 2007 Audi Q7 4.8 Premium (MSRP $63,940) - $930/mo 2007 MB G500 (MSRP ... Buying a Land Rover is a very rewarding experience if you go into it with the right mindset. You are not buying a Chev or Ford, so there are probably less dealers in your area to service it. An LR3 can pretty much go over, around or through just about anything on the planet, but most people will never take it off the tarmac. Honestly, the LR3 is a bit of ... Read More
There is just over 9,000 dollars of profit in a supercharged Range Rover. I can go look at a real invoice anytime I like as all online invoices are typically off by 500 to 1000 dollars. You said and I quote, "ince this is a consumer's forum, let me make some comments about prices. There is no way one should pay MSRP for a vehicle. On a car like the Range ... Read More
Well, since we are on Edmunds, let's check Edmunds. A base 2006 Supercharged Land Rover Range Rover Sport has MSRP of $69,535, and invoice of $63,277. That's over $7000 in profit already on the base vehicle (without any option). Options is where the high margin is made. Most of your customers will want some options, won't they? If I missed the mark, it's not by much. Since you mentioned the full ... Read More

Greetings nlproductions. If you were to lease a 2006 Land Rover Range Rover Sport HSE (this truck's lease program varies by trim level, let me know if you want a different variant) through Land Rover Capital Group right now for 36 months with 15,000 miles per year, its buy rate lease money factor and residual value should be .00320 and 55%, respectively. I have driven a 2001 LR Discovery and now a 2006 LR3. The 2001 went on long trips cross country, in snow, mud, heat and on rocks. Never had a problem on those trips at all. THere were some maintenance issues but those are particular to the Discovery not the LR3. I have driven my LR3 only 6,500 miles and at this point no issues at all. in fact the vehicle ... Read More
I just celebrated my first anniversary with my Sport S/C. I have only had small issues with the car--the wipers and a check engine light that came on. Land Rover sent me a travel bag for my anniversary along with a discount coupon for a 2006 Range Rover. I also just received an issue of their magazine. I am glad that I bought the vehicle. :) I have black/black and wouldn't ... Read More
Since this is a consumer's forum, let me make some comments about prices. There is no way one should pay MSRP for a vehicle. On a car like the Range Rover Sport, dealer profit would be around $10K if you pay window sticker. If you don't care about money, that's a different story, but I figure the reason people come to this thread is because they do care about money. When ... Read More
Well I can't comment on your particular market but up where I am I have four Full Size Range Rovers for sale on the ground. I have one Rang Rover Sport and one Sport Supercharged. Ok first of all the Land Rover going to the saturn style of pricing is BS. You can of course try and negotiate on any of our vehicles but with the extremely limited supply that most Land Rovers are in many times they do go for MSRP or very close to it. As was previously stated above if you wanted a Supercharged Range Rover or Range Rover Sport you would be ... Read More

I see, tallwoods. I knew that the Range Rover Sport was selling well and that Land Rover dealers would probably try to get as much as they could for it, but I didn't realize that they weren't providing any sort of discounts at all. Looks like your money factor is .00273 which translates to about 6.54%. I think the rate is a little high. I went to Leasetrader.com and saw someone trying to get rid of a RR Sport HSE for $975/mo. Personally, I think you can do better, but I guess it depends on the market conditions in your area. By the way, both the residual and the money factor ... Read More
No problem, tallwoods. In your most recent post you mentioned the selling price of the new truck that you are interested in, but you never mentioned its MSRP. They must have screwed up something or perhaps that particular car had brakes that were shot. Edmunds recorded 114 feet and that is in line with other magazines publications as well.
Ouch. They really didn't like it much did they? They didn't say it, but having owned both a 2003 RR and now a Sport the one thing aesthetically that really sets them apart is how much dead tree there is inside. The knobs are just as plastic in the big RR, but the Sport & LR3 have more of them because the radio is in a separate unit as opposed to ... Read More

Hey hvf. I see that you are interested in a Range Rover Sport as well. I love this truck, but it is unbelievably expensive, both in terms of its price and terrible lease program. Hey Chris, I totally hear you! I had a 1972 Land-Rover short wheel base in college. I continue to drive my 1989 Range Rover Classic. "BMW might offer slightly more athleticism from its X5, but the 2006 Land Rover Range Rover Sport Supercharged is no wallflower. Although its fuel mileage is laughable and its curb weight sounds like something from the Hummer collection, we applaud its designer look, its strong performance and its artful interior." 2006 Land Rover Range Rover Sport Supercharged (Inside Line) Steve, Host
Hi ll10. Land Rover is not currently providing much in the way of lease support on the Range Rover Sport. If you were to lease a 2006 Range Rover Sport through Land Rover Capital Group right now for 36 months with 10,000 miles per year, its buy rate lease money factor and residual value should be .00285 and 60%, respectively. Hi surfd90. While the selling prices of leased vehicles are negotiable just as if you were paying cash or financing, I am not surprised that the dealer that you are working with is trying to get close to full MSRP for the 2006 Land Rover Ranger Rover Sport right now because it is such a new model and it has been relatively well received by the public. Is this planned to be availble in the near future for LR3, or are potential buyers ... Read More
For 2006, I'd expect them to appear in North America in September or so... about a year after launch. Give or take a month or so. Don't expect any real changes, as LR3 is too new.
