Used TMV from $7,267
Wow! I just “stumbled” onto this Edmunds forum while researching the rear load leveling suspension problems I started having a few months ago. This sounds like one of MANY chronic problems associated with GMC Envoys over several years and models (i.e., 2004, 2005, 2006, XL, XUV, Denali, etc.). I have a 2005 Envoy XUV SLT that I bought new in July 2005. It now has approximately 79,000 miles. I’ve done all ... Read More
I have a 2004 GMC Envoy XUV and of course have the same problems as yall. My instrument panel went out and the dealership wants to charge $150 just to tell me it doesnt work...they also said that no one can fix it but them bc they have to put in some codes About 3yrs ago my tailgate window stopped working at that time I was under warranty so they fixed ... Go to RockAuto site cluster is $200 plus refundable core charge http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=2347034 There are two different clusters. I just bought a 2004 XUV with 17,000 original miles and notice two things with the cluster so far. One is the battery light stays on and two, the low fuel light flickers now and then. I hope this is not a sign of things to come as this vehicle is in pristine condition ... Read More
I have the same exact truck and have had this problem now for about three years and it is so frustrating to own a truck that you are supposed to be able to haul things in and you can get it to drop down or swing open, and crawling in and out of the back is a real B*tch if you no what I mean. The Chevy dealership here wants $650.00 ... Read More
Ok, I have read just about every post in here. I have a 2004 Envoy XUV, and so far the oil pressure gauge has pegged to the far right. The speedometer pegs at 120, and stays there even when the vehicle is stopped. The cruise control works when it wants to. And finally no relation to the elec. probs, but I have replaced the rear tailgate latches (all 3 of them) ... Read More
GMC 1-800-462-8782, seems to be alot of problems with the envoy. I cant wait to get rid of mine...Good luck
Same problem as everyone else except they charged me $1200 at the dealership. My gas gauge was reading past full when clearly empty. I ignored it as the dealership wanted $575 to fix. Then one day, I could not fill the gas tank, it kept shutting off automatically. They said it was the auto shut off incase of a roll over accident? Lovely. They 'fixed' it but then the gas tank ... I have a 2004 Envoy XUV SLT, and have replaced the rear tailgate latches 6 times in the last year. GMC paid for 5 of them, but are now refusing to pay for anymore, as they only warranty the original set for 12 months or 12,000 miles whichever comes first. Has anyone had this problem with these latches? Does anyone know of an outside vendor besides GMC where a person can ... Read More
Matt, I am Pocket, and I would love to have an address that you wrote to. I have a 2004 Envoy XUV, and I have had several problems with it. First of all like you say the speedometer, and the oil gauge. Next the rear latches on the tail gate have been replaced 6 times in the last year. GM is refusing to fix anything on this vehicle. I like you ... Read More
GM lost a 30+ year customer with the GMC Envoy and their lack of support for the product. I personally think the car is a piece of junk. The worst engineered vehicle I've ever owned and I let everyone know my feeling on the Envoy. I just have 38,000 on mine and couldn't give it away fast enough.GM ought to be ashamed of themselves. It will be a rainy day in ... Read More
In Dec 2007, my vehicle started accumulating water above the headliner. After a day of sitting in the rain, I noticed upon moderate braking a small water fall coming from the front of the headliner on to the dashboard. At the dealer, they checked the drains were open and the sun roof was closed and sealed. After five days of water checks they thought they had found the leak above the ... Read More
Have an issue with speedometer which I would guess is the instrument cluster as described. Have called dealership and GM to discuss the problem and told them of the special coverage adjustement bulletin 07187 that was describe on this forum. Both places have told me they cover a lot of the GMC vehicles listed but envoy are not one of them. I have 2004 Envoy XUV with 45000. Sounds like a ... Read More
