Lacks Customer Service

I purchased an pre-owned auto that only came with one key; the valet key. The salesman said he would work on getting me another key for it, after I purchased the vehicle. I waited several weeks and kept getting the run around and eventually called the Manager of used car sales. The Manager told me that his records show I got 2 keys when I purchased the vehicle. Suddenly, the original slaesman, also recalled that I got 2 keys when I bought the vehicle. My wife and I went to Gillman, in person, to speak with the Sales Manager and told him I was upset that the original salesman was lying about the key. I was told that the Car Porter also said I got 2 keys. I left the office to check on my registration and approximately 5 minutes later, the Manager came out and said he talked to the Car Porter alone and that he said that he only recalled 1 key being issued. Gillman eventually did pay for a new key for me after all this hassle. What concerns me is that 2 employees would lie about something like this and the fact that the Manager wouldn't believe a customer who spent over $20,000 at his dealership. Whatever happened to "The Customer Is Always Right".

I wonder what else you didn't receive? If you look at the Honda Certified 150 point inspection list, it is clearly noted that two keys, remotes, valet key, owners manual, warranty manual, service records and radio security code are "to be made available at time of delivery". Look at your 150 point inspection list and you will probably see the box for the keys-etc. checked off. In my case the dealer had also claimed they had the necessery items and had none of them. I was also given one key at time of delivery and when I complained I was told to return for the key and remote to be made and programmed, and my radio to be removed for obtaining the security code. The manuals and other items had to be ordered. Bottom line, the 150 point list was fabricated in my case. Four months of arguing with Honda have not gotten me far. Trhe Honda ertification program used to be overseen by zone reps for compliance. Now the dealer is trusted to ensure the Certicfied vehicles they charge so dearly for are actually up to the expressed Honda standard. Yea right. With no systemto ensure dealer compliance in place, the Honda Certification program is nothing more than a scam. See my horror story at Google-www.myjunks2000.com.
