I received a spam email from your dealership stating “Due to our commitment to Chrysler to increase sales this year, I am extremely motivated to make you an offer that, under normal circumstances, would not be considered.” I figured this is general spam and a hail mary attempt to get someone into the dealership. But I thought hey, why not, maybe it is legit and I responded to the email. The original email was sent by Tony Woodard, but after I responded my communication was through Valentin “Val” Panayotov. I am pretty happy with my current truck but have considered upgrading to a Ram 3500 dully with the Aisin transmission. I searched their website and saw that they had one in stock. This was on Aug 24th. In my current situation, I am buying a house and cannot have my payment increase. So to keep my payment the same, I needed a certain amount for my trade-in and a certain amount for the truck they were selling. I expressed this to Val and asked if this was doable, because if it isn’t, there was no point in wasting anyone’s time. He responds and asks me what time I could come in. Again I expressed to him there is no point in going to the dealership if we can’t meet these numbers to begin with. I received no further response on that day (Aug 24th). I just assumed this is a deal their dealership couldn’t meet and understood. The next day (Aug25th), I get another email from “Val” asking me when I can bring my truck in. Again, I expressed there is no point in going in if they cannot get the numbers I needed. I was trying to be as upfront with this as I could. Why would I “bring my truck by?” It’s just a waste of everyone’s time, especially mine since I’m not getting paid for this time like their employees are, and I am not interested in playing the whole “get them through the door” game. So Val responds with a link to a cheaper vehicle I have no interest in and says “it seems this truck is closer to your budget.” I express to him I don’t care for the truck he suggested because it does not have the Aisin transmission. He then responds with, and I quote from the email, “Sir, This truck is no longer available... I asked you to come in while the truck still was here. Thank You!” I basically responded with “sure you did and oh well.” He then emails me back stating “I actually sold it this morning.” This of course doesn’t sit right with me. First off, if he sold it that morning (Aug 25th), then why is he emailing me back asking when I would be able to bring my trade by? Again, they are just wasting my time, especially if they supposedly sold the only truck I told them I was interested in. So I call up your dealership and ask to speak with a salesman to find out if the truck is still available or not. I spoke with Paola who confirms the truck is still available and asks when I would like to come by and see it. It is important to stay away from dealerships like this. This dealership does what they can just to get you in the door. Your time is not important or valuable to them. This dealership doesn’t listen to what vehicle the customer wants. They seem more interested in just getting you into any vehicle that financially works for you. And most importantly, they apparently employee [non-permissible content removed] such as this Valentin “Val” Panayotov. I can only give you my warning of this dealership. These are the type of dealerships you want to stay away from. God knows how many others they have treated like this. How many others has “Val” lied too?
