Upsetting Situation

Very Upsetting! On October 29, I was in a store that was held at gunpoint. I was inside with my younger son, while my 15 year old daughter waited in the car(2019 Benz) my son got a gun pointed on his head as he threaten to shot, if I didn’t give him my keys and my phone. I had neither because supposedly it was a quick in and out. I had left everything in the car with my daughter inside the car. But of course being afraid for my daughters life I couldn’t say it. All I said I got drop off. He shock me around and found nothing, told us to lay in the floor, I did but I laid on top of my son. Kelp going from person to person asking for their belongings. Came back around pointed a gun and said are you ready to give me your keys or do you want me to shut. My son cried, he searched me again and walked away. All I could do is pray they wouldn’t notice my daughter in the car. As soon as they left the store, I quickly got up running towards the door, only to notice my car gone. I froze thinking `my daughter’ then glance down only to see her laying in the floor. I ran towards her and asked if she was okay, she said they pointed a gun and pushed her holding a gun against her back till she was inside the store and then with a gun pushed her to the floor. The store called the cops, they did a full investigation. 3 days after they found my car. All the cámaras and front screen where ripped out. The cops kelp my vehicle for a couple days for fingerprints. It was towed to Mercedes-Benz in Plano on November 11, 2020. I contacted the service department to see what it needed. After going back and forth with the insurance, supposedly my car was going to be ready by December 12. I had a rental that my insurance provided for only 30 days. I waited until December 14 and had to call them because I hadn’t heard anything from them. Only to hear that they ran into a problem and my car also needed a new harness. But he explained the bad part is that this part, comes from Germany and they start building it after we order it. He explained it takes 10 weeks to 14 weeks to build. I quickly told but I’m paying out of pocket for my rental already, that I had already had to returned because it was getting expensive, I can’t afford paying a rental and a car note. He mentioned he was going to try to help me getting a loaner but couldn’t promise anything. On December 15, he called and told me I pulled some strings and got you a loaner. On January 12 I sent a text checking up on my car. His only reply was .. unfortunately the harness is not in yet... that was his full response Until January 20. I get a text at 8:50am saying his manager had informed him a loaner was only for 30 days and I had until 7pm that same day to return it. I was hurt. I responded I am at work till 7pm, I have to rushed out afterwards to pick up my daughter from therapy. I don’t have another car. He explained he had told me the part would take 14-18 weeks.. noooo he never mentioned that long, and besides that I assumed he was given me a loaner until the car was fixed. Not for only 4 weeks so I can be out on a limb for 10 weeks to 14 weeks more. That would leave me paying for a car for 5 to 6 months, if not more that I don’t even drive. And all he can say is you have to take it with your insurance to get you a rental. No insurance gives you more than 30 days with a car rental. And how did professional Mercedes experts miss the harness being damage in the first place. I will be taking legal advice on how to handle this. I will also take the loaner back today. Because after I told him. I couldn’t just dropped everything yesterday, he said he would Extend 1 more day and I will pay out of his pocket for the additional day!
