SCAMS Galore!

onIf you go to this dealer you will be scammed - Beware. You will want to know how much you are going to pay for the vehicle. They won't tell you. They will tell you the approximate monthly payment. There is an excellent financing plan being offered across the country on Mazdas - 0% interest rate for 5 years, $0 down. For each $1,000 you spend, you will pay $16.67 per month. For a $20,000 car this is $333.33 per month. It is very easy for them to pile on the junk fees without you even noticing.
Here's an example: They are heavily advertising "The Flood Advantage Plan". It is running heavily on sports Radio WEEi. It sounds great. They will replace your key for free, if lost, (a $300 value).Free dent repair. Free oil Changes. Free Windshield repair. Free courtesy shuttle. An additional $500 credit if you buy another car . And some kind of exchange program. The salesman will tell you that its free. You tell him you want it. On your bill they will charge you $299.
My advice, Focus on the cost of the car. Ask "How much are all of your junk fees?" You can figure out the monthly cost simply by dividing the total cost by 60 payments. They will ask you for a $1,000 deposit, otherwise the car you want will be Gone. Shop around. Make sure you get a quote from other dealers, including Massachusetts dealers. Beware - If you give them the $1,000 they will not give it back easily.
