They wrecked my car and apparently not uncommon for them!
Written by Hinkleelena on 11/30/2017
They wrecked my 2017 Truck! After having to take my 2017 Ridgeline back to be repaired since it wasn’t done correctly on nov 1st an employee calls me less then an hour later to tell me he crashed my truck into a pole. He’s sorry and they will pay to have it repaired and cut me a check for the total cost. After going to their repair shop where they get a huge huge discount. After speaking with collision body shop it was clear they were not looking out for my best interest however for scot Clark’s. When I asked for a second opinion all hell broke loose and was told by Stuart “what’s the big deal I’d just say you wrecked it you fix it. If you get a second opinion that’s fine but we aren’t paying for it. Why would we if we get a better deal somewhere else. You can go anywhere you want but we will pay the quote we got. Why would you pay you money on top of that if you go somewhere else” David white said the same thing pretty much. After saying it would be nice for them to keep their word I get a check for 2800. After getting car back after 2 weeks the total bill was 3688. They agree to pay the balance...this was offered to me I never asked for a dime. How they feel like they can make them out to be the victim is beyond me Still owed the balance. They tell me a week after check was approved and supposedly cut that I need to sign a piece of paper. This paper wants our tax info so we now owe 34-40% tax on it! I said why do we need to pay taxes. David white says you don’t. Then why do you need a w-9? “Just so there’s a record of the money”. I said isn’t that what a canceled check was for. He had no clue how checks worked? After speaking with someone he tells me “yes you have to pay taxes on this money” I said I knew that. That’s why I don’t understand why this wasn’t discussed a month ago before I agreed to let the work be done at Caliber Collision repair. My second est was much higher and I explained a month ago I didn’t care about them cutting me a check I wanted to trust the work was being done the right way and looking out for me not scott Clark’s pocket. My est were not the same. Caliber had chrome molding and other things my 2nd est has but caliber did not. I have no chrome molding FYI. Sounds like a terrible deal! David White tells me to sign it or sue them! If I sign I’m not allowed to talk about them wrecking my truck that’s less then year old. Didn’t find out they replaced 2 body parts until I picked it up. I was told about 1. Repair place didn’t even Bolt in my middle seat buckle. I found out as I had to pick up someone else’s child! Luckily it wasn’t my friend going through a divorce and the soon to be ex wife wasn’t there to see it! Even today to get some noise fixed. 7 work orders I less then a year. I don’t think there was a time it didn’t have to go back and fix the problem. Same noise on the way home...should have gone to Hendricks...
