Poor Sales Process

onOur Lincoln was coming off lease and unlike other companies, Lincoln forces you to go to a dealer to buy the vehicle at the end of the lease. I made an appointment with Asheville Ford Lincoln. When I arrived, the person that I had the appointment with was in "Business Development" so I was turned over to a salesman. As soon as he realized that I wasn't buying something new and just wanted to buy the existing vehicle, he turned me over to another salesperson. She was nice but had never done a lease buyout so had to keep getting information from other people. None of the other people could be bothered to come over.
Then, I had to deal with the Finance department. I faced the same thing as someone else with the "Customer Service Fee" of almost $600. The dealership never could explain it to my satisfaction. Lincoln also called them for me and they couldn't explain it to Lincoln either. I wound up paying it because they delayed so long that I almost lost the financing and had the lease end.
This dealership lost any future business from us as well as selling us any extended service plans or anything else.
Not to mention we don't use their service department anymore as it was terrible. They never fixed the problem, didn't provide the promised rental, charged to do a computer update and never called when the car was ready.
I'm surprised Lincoln lets them continue to be a dealer.
