Blacklisting this Dealership
Written by 08/14/2009
onMe & my husband went to this dealership 2 weeks ago to buy a car through the cash for clunkers program. We submitted all the required documents, even put up a deposit and the car we wanted was available 3 days after. After stringing us along for 2 weeks they told us that our car does not qualify which is a lie since it did (per CARS website) and when we asked them for a copy of the denial letter, they cannot produce it. The 3 or 4 sales people we talked to at this dealership told us different stories. The day after the government clarified a regulation that dealerships cannot hold the cars if its available, this dealership (which i wouldn't even care to mention) opted out of the program. What [violative content deleted]. Your dealership should be blacklisted and penalized for illegal deals under the cash for clunkers program.

As the owner of Mid-Hudson Subaru I am involved with every deal that happens at my dealership. Cash for Clunkers was a beneficial program and our customers were very pleased with their deals, driving away in new Subarus. The government DID change Cash for Clunkers regulations after the program started. They lowered the mpg on qualifying cars which did render some cars that had previously qualified to no longer eligible.
I am concerned about 45hundreds' displeasing experience possibly involving my dealership. I pride myself on the level of customer service we offer here and I am always 100% accessible to anyone who walks into or calls my dealership. I would welcome the opportunity to speak with 45hundred to try and get a better understanding of the circumstances.
