While traveling in the Mexico with my family and RV, my oil change light came on. I located a Ford dealer Vision Ford in Alamogordo and went to them for service. I requested an oil change and any other services needed to be performed. After evaluating the vehicle, the service advisor Chris, advised me that I needed a new air cleaner and filter. For the additional items and asked if anything else was needed. I was told that the battery brakes and tires are OK. The service was completed and we continued on our trip. Less than 1000 miles later I heard a terrible grinding noise coming from the right front wheel. A close examination revealed that the brake rotor was deeply gouged and unusable. I went to The Ford dealer in page Arizona and was told that both brake pads were well beyond safe usable life. They completed the repairs including the replacement of the rotors. Rotor replacement would have been unnecessary vision ford had replace the brake pads when the oil change was done. I called the service manager Tomas, at Vision Ford several times and did not receive a return phone call. I also called the general manager and did not receive a phone call. In summary, I had two problems with this dealership. One they did not do the inspection even though the envoy said they did and the brakes were good. Two they did not return several phone calls with messages to both the service manager and the sales manager. I would avoid this dealer at all cool I had two problems with this dealership.
